I have been carpet cleaning for a year now. I advertise, leaflet etc etc. I probably get on average, one - two new customers a week from it. I have a couple of good regular commercial jobs.
Now I should mention that I run this along side a wfp window cleaning business which is 60% commercial based. I make far more form window cleaning than carpet cleaning on the whole but some jobs I have priced on the sqm have been worth well over a days window cleaning pay. However the carpet side is growing but it takes much longer to develop than window cleaning.
I like carpet cleaning as a business, its an excellent add on as I explain to new customers the wait for the service is three - four weeks but if they would like to wait for a cancellation I will phone them then. If they are happy with the wait I have a weeks worth of CC every few weeks, if not if a rainy day is forecast (not good for window cleaning) I give them a call, they are all so happy I have squeezed them in. LOL

I can see there is a good business to be had in CC but its a slow starter compared to other cleaning businesses but I think its worth building up with quality customers.
