For example today I (along with one staff) made £358.  Divide that by 2 and you get £179 each

You split 50/50 with your staff  ???  ???  ???

No, I'm just saying thats basically how much work I did today, therefore if I was on my own thats how much I would have made, my staff get £65 a day plus extras.

I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

matt - if when you say VWcampervan you are referring to me then fine but I've worked bloody hard and still owe money on it!!

alan, if you read the whole post, it was in reply to Mr Solubility, he likes to have his little digs in reply to most posts i make

I agree that these invites to bragg posts are not helpfull and all the usual suspects have posted- bragging about not being braggarts-.

It's another opportunity to knock the hot people- the one's who add interest and value- and are the backbone of the forum. What about the people who brag they only work three days, or only work five hours, or have other higher priorities in life?

I work 3 days a week
Im Also proud that i prefere to spend family time instead of working 6 days a week chasing the ££££ -- Mr Solubility has issues with me because of it

oh deary me

you might find the usual suspects who will post on here , are also the usual suspects who are the most active members, its not a crime to have a opinion and post it

oh and you also forget to add " those who brag that they have a degree " and " those who brag they have a VW campervan " and " help others on  a DIY site / forum ***"  just so i know it was geared at me  ::) ::)

" those who brag that they have a degree " = ME ( though ive only mentioned i have a degree twice on here ) im sure some1 will be along to correct me though

" those who brag they have a VW campervan " = ME, i own a VW splitty

" help others on  a DIY site / forum "  = ME, i run the DIY site

:)

see, no ref to you meant, infact i didnt even know you have a VW campervan, you will allways be spending money on it ;)

Mine is in building studies, it was just a follow on from my carpentry days really, i never wanted a office type of job ( which is what the degree leads me too ) i allways prefered carpentry as it was outside and no-one bothering me

this is a bit of a funnny post as these things never really o anywhere...

i wont say how much i earn a year etc as thats my business..

but on my own i can earn 300  if i wanted too as my work is well priced at around 40 p/hr that i am not lying about but then again i only have 65 custies on my book as ido flats and offices and around 35 houses only

houses range from 18-95.00 all done every 5 weeks i work 3-4 days a week which suits me and the missus just fine ... i go on holiday quite a bit nothing flash but we do go away for a week at a time probably 4-5 times a year.

the money i earn relates to where i live in surrey we rent a 1 bed flat at 600 a month , but with a baby due in april we have to move so will be paying the region of 900-1000 before any bills.

so i think in relation to different parts of the country we all earn relative amounts....

i think in any trade you will get large fluctuations in charges... a friend of mine who mainly cleans gutters and windows are large blocks of flats can do in somedays and this is no lie 1000-1200 but then again he is really exspensive ..but hey each to there own .....

im sure to a degree we are all happy with what we earn for the amount of effort put in

macmac I'll assume you are talking about wingtip vortices?

these are stable patterns of turbulence from the wingtip that are formed by the effect of the wingtips attitude as it passes through the air.  as they are stable patterns they can remain in situ for several minutes, they can affect another craft passing through them but this effect is dependant on a number of things - such as the x,y direction of the second craft, velocity and attitude etc.

the only times when they become dangerous is during take off and landing due to the fact that the plane will be travelling slower and the wings will be at a much higher angle of attack, thus the effect is dramatically increased as there is a much larger surface area for the vortices to act upon than say in near horizontal flight, where the airspeed is also much higher.

also because of the fact the wingtips are at a higher angle of attack the vortices created by this are very large thus posing a potential risk to following aircraft.

however due to the mass of most commercial jets wingtip vortices tend not to affect them severely, however the risk is amplified for smaller RJ's and light aircraft.

hope this helps

I didn't know that and will add it to my store of knowledge. It was quite interesting. Have you ever seen an owl knocked out of the air by a vans/lorry turbulence, and then run over and killed by the following vehicle? It is apparently the one major causes in the decline of the owl population.

Reference the above comments they are fine by because they were good natured and humourous. It's the nasty comments I take exception too.

We can earn £300 a day, this is with two of us.
About 6 hours of work time.

But this would be great if we had enough to do it every day.

This would be wfp up & down.

This site is to help each other with window cleaning. Who really cares what other people earn?

There have been so many other posts similar to this and what is the point of another?
