I met the man who does vehicles for these type of programs at Granada in Manchester, at the time he was parking the "Myra Hindley" car for the recent drama of her life. He told me that the old car props market was getting monopolised by a woman in the industry, so its only him and her doing it!!!! The Quattro in Ashes to Ashes looks lovely! Luke

I don't want to refer to overall earnings as they are between me, my accountant, and the IR.  However, I have managed £300 on my own a few times now on the better parts of my round.  I usually feel pretty knackered afterwards and wouldn't want to do it too often anyway if it feels like that.  I actually managed the equivalent of £400 recently but that's the only time it's ever happened.  I say "equivalent" because it was a proportion of a much larger job on top of getting up very early to do shop fronts.  I definitely wouldn't want to do too many like that.  Nowhere to spend it in the graveyard.  Of course, this is not at all typical of overall turnover as the days referred to above are exceptional for me.

Seems like we're getting more and more peeps saying they earn zillions per week blah blah blah, but really, how common is turning over £300 a day?

Rosy, I read a post of yours recently where you commented, and I quote 'we all earn 50K pa on here, dont we?'

blah blah blah

There will be a new recruit in the form of WPC Sharon 'Shaz' Granger (to be played by Montserrat Lombard) to replace WDC Annie Cartwright.

That was obviously tongue in cheek.  I am merely reflecting the occasional posts that rant about how much a w/c can earn daily/anually.  I think its called sarcasm.

I said I read it somewhere that she was in it, which doesn't necessarily mean it was true, when or where I read it, thanks for the pointless post tho.

matt - if when you say VWcampervan you are referring to me then fine but I've worked bloody hard and still owe money on it!!

I for one don't think its of any benefit to post earnings - I'm not against it though.  But try to remember that the guys up north can't charge the same as the cider drinkers, therefore to earn the same we have to work harder and longer.  For example today I (along with one staff) made £358.  Divide that by 2 and you get £179 each, so in effect on my own I made £179 today.  We cleaned 3 bed semi's all day @ £6 each plus one large bungalow @ £10

So thats 29 semi's EACH and half a large bungalow each.

Now if I lived say in Surrey, I could probably charge £10 per 3 bed semi and £18 for the bungalow, altogether that would have been 58 x £10 and 1 x £18 = £598 which turns out at £299 per man.

So buy being able to charge a bit more you can see what a difference it can make, unfortunately we can't charge high prices up here (unlike someone who said 'just try it' - we can't, we have tried and it was a disaster.

So before you put figures on the forum just remember that for some of us we can only dream of making that kind of money.
I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

Not Bragging,just answering the question.

But if my Dad was an Mp, I could earn a good wedge for doing nothing. And they dont need to declare it.
