Hi folks want to invest some of my rebate into the business whats the one bit of kit you bought that you would not be without ?
Things on the list so far
1x pair of knee pads, fed up of having aching knees doing stairs and upholstery.
1x laser area calculator , looks far more pro than an old tape measure.
New buckets
Another set of extension hoses for my Prochem steempro ,sick of lugging machine upstairs ,and a new hose bag.
Some magnetic signs for the van and possibly a Pid Plate pro looking sign
Doing quite well spending my money
Want a turbo dryer £200 ish ?
that`s all what are your suggestions /

Hi Mark

My work trousers have slits on the knees where I have knee pads so that may be an idea for you. I also have a laser measurer that automatically calculates the square feet in a room (bought from Focus for around £15)

Cheers

All good comments so far . Yellow pages get £1.800 from me a year as it is,i have upgraded every year since i first started with them now full colour big add and also on their phone no thing. Also with thompsons directory .Have tried various school diarys and am in a police contact thing this year (nothing so far ,as usual get promised the moon on a stick ) not going to bother with the internet listing people this year , don`t do newpaper adds to many people advertise in them around here, finding most of my work now comes from customers telling friends and previous jobs re booking me.Which is what i want would rather be investing in more kit that spend on adds although i would rather spend on adds than give it to the tax man  ::)

Mark do you do in-house quotes or over the phone?

how about a nice leather, presentation folder  and a gold pen to let the customer sign the survey form :D

goes a long way to setting a professional image ;)

I bought  the small sabrina machine from craftex and it is excellent for spotting, upholstery, stairs and awkward  jobs where you cant take a bigger machine!

especially good if just called out to tackle one stain, out and back in the van in minutes. ;D

Brilliant for flats also.

Going from 1.5" hose to 2" on my Scorpion.

Turned a very good machine into a brilliant machine.
