You are welcome to have a pop at me, goes with the territory.
Pootoo posted on this part of the forum, no point in comments on his postings being on the other part of the forum.
The thread had slid into meaningless chatter, hence just locked and not deleted or moved, feel free to reopen the debate on the 'chat' section of the forum.
Comments about bullying justified, no problems there from this moderator, I also deleted no end of replies on the original post once I'd read it.
also, if you have a problem about a reply on a thread (or series of replies) you can always report it to admin or moderators.
It isn't easy keeping up with the many threads and replies on here you know!
Ian
It's not a 'pop' at anyone, Ian. Don't just go saying that because you were the one who effectively called all the posters on that 'bullies' thread children - now that is having a 'pop' at all of
us, can't you see that?
Nor is this having a go/pop at moderators or admin - we all know the limits/boundaries, and to come down heavy locking/deleting just surely be a response to very serious breaches of conduct, and I really think that this has not happened in this case.
As for complaining when a thread is locked/deleted I don't think this should be taken as a slur on the moderator at all. As someone in a position of some responsibility you should be able to learn as you go along and accept that maybe you are not always right.
Yes, this thread, 'children', should be moved. But I'm not apologising for starting, and I'm not not 'railing at authority' for the sake of it, either. I would add that everyone here should feel that they can give an opinion on moderators and their actions, and while that doesn't mean they just 'have a pop' for the sake of it, it does mean that we have a voice! Hold on to it, I say.
Notwithstanding, sorry if the 'Stalin' commnet hurt - it was contextual.
