Running a cleaning company and doing the carpet cleaning, I have got to the stage where I can smell customers like this the minute I get through the door, but its nice to know you you guys experience the same. The power of the Forum.

Had a customers this morning who cancelled me the last time (the night before the job was due to be done) because she had 'bought a Bissell'.

Baby had puked and poo'd all over the carpet. 'How's the Bissell doing' (I remembered her), 'Oh, it's not as good as you'.

I did the job and charged 'accordingly'.

Hi,

Excuse me if this sounds dumb, Friday night and a beer or three.

Did you not want any payment on completion of the initial clean?

Either way the only point the guy has seemed to move on is this 60 days. Has he signed a standing order for £15 or £22?

If no payment in respect of the initial clean what stops him from cancelling payment as soon as the clean is done?

I have set up maintenance plans, some customers are super, others not so, and in every case it has been when the lady wants the service and I suspect the husband begrudges paying !

Did job today, Yes he works in the legal proffesion and all went well.

Funny thing is he gave me a £20 tip, strange i know.

Also he is going to pay the full rate for the maintenance plan.

Customers are strange.

Just goes to show you, he tries to get a 'deal' to make himself feel better that he got a bargain - but then still goes with you anyway! He's obviously loaded (legal profession) and made out he's skint......typical, there all the bl**dy same ::).

Sounds like it worked out well for evereybody in the end. He's happy you're happy.

As I'm sure you will, I'd put that £20 down on your earning. Just in case. ;)

I don't agree that professionals are all loaded. For instance my girlfriend's ex is a Dentist and according to the CSA he only makes £40k a year and will have to reduce his payments for his two kids. ::)
