Amazingly yes. Sometimes the water will vapourise off the glass so quick it makes the job really hard. Or the operator can risk sun stroke at the wrong times of the day.

Too hot:    only when one yummy customer answered her front door, dripping wet straight from the shower, wearing only a towel which barely covered either half on a very gusty day. She teasingly accused me of getting good eyefuls where Mr Rabbit goes when her towel was flapping around in the wind. Had a hard job keeping eye contact, I was getting a bit hot to say the least and couldn't wait 'til she got 'round to paying me so i could make a quick exit politely

I was working on the first floor in Richmond and as we used to do before H&S walking along the ledge and at the last window jumped in on a couple going hammer and tonge.

He died of embarressment I just said Hi to the Aussie bird who just laid back and waved giggling

I have done that before.  A few years ago when it hit 100F by lunchtime, I couldn't cope so stopped for the day.

Actually I find the heat is worse than the cold. People always say window cleaning must be tough in the winter but a long hot summer is worse.
More dangerous too with all the skin cancer risks.

Well me and the family are considering moing to the land of oz at the moment spoke to various window cleaners over there. and they say in western points gets stupidly hot around 2pm during peak summer. Did mention though the shortage of window cleaners which has swayed me little more to the idea.

Is window cleaner on their list of required trades? If it isn't how do you stand?

I have had an ozzie as a custy over here, she reckoned the window cleaners out there worked similarly to those in the US, i.e. about once every 3 to 4 months.

I was looking at going to live in Canada and window cleaners are listed on their site as a skilled trade but oz maybe see things differently

The only problem i can see in places with heat and has been mentioned on here before is the heat evaporates the water too quickly and rinsing becomes a problem never had that problem here so dont know how true this is

im working in cyprus , the summer gets up to 35/45 c in the shade just got to work fast and use lots of water to cool the glass, i guess the heat is 50/60 c in direct sunlight. not to many wpfs as there is a water shortage problem.
probley had 10 days of rain in the last 10 months. :

But then Thursday Friday and Sat down here has been clean so technicly everyone should of been able to catch up hee hee
