Hi Guys

My friend had a new PP carpet fitted on Monday.

On Tuesday her 17 year old melted part of it with her hair dryer, bless her :

On contacting her insurance co. Nat West , she was told they would make a deduction for wear and tear which would be difficult after one day.

Have any of you heard of this wear and tear thing, I thought carpets were replaced on new for old basis.

Doug just depends on insurance contract, some are old for new some  will depreciate on age or condition, basically you get what you pay for and need to read the small print( but who does?).
Some insurances wont pay out on pet damage as well.
