RO & DI

when should you use RO and when should you use DI? i take its all to do with your water quality? RO for high readings and DI for low or am i tlaking complete rubbish :P

your spot on  ;) high tds tap water ro and di, very low tds water then di only.

been told the water round my way is 20ppm. Would DI be suitable or RO also is di not more expensive to run? Could you still use rO if you have a low wate rreading?

RO takes longer is this due to the high reading of the water

20 tds is what comes out of my ro mine is 470+ tds if it is that low di only, if you want to save resin get two of them. one to the next then to the tank.
