New leaflet
« on: January 11, 2008, 04:53:04 pm »
Hi guys, just thought I'd gather some opinions on my leaflet for this year. What do you think? Is it too wordy?? Any suggestions or criticism welcome, thanks  ;D ;D

Mobile number IMO a landline as well is alot better.

Email address is a free one and does not look professional.

There is no website address on there.

I would take off about the waterfed pole as you may put off people that have had them cleaned like this before and the person doing it did not knwo how to do it correctly.

Like the rain guarantee  ;)

Can I ask about the Rain Guarantee?

Is it you guarantee it to rain just after the windows have been cleaned?  :D

Good point... will think about putting my landline on. Just seems pointless as I can never hear it ringing LOL. Have been thinking about getting rid of the email address, noone uses it anyway!  :( :P

You could be right there. Although I've only ever seen one guy in my area using WFP... you think I should keep the "Pure Water Window Cleaning Service"..... or put "Ladderless" instead? Can't decide.... LOL.

Cheers Jago  ;D ;D

The rain guarantee I stole.... from the Ians. LOL. Just that I work in the rain, but that if any problems are caused by working in the rain, all they have to do is call me within 48 hours and I'll return free of charge to sort the problem. Test drove it yesterday, and I'll start it with new customers from now.... but I'll give it some time before I "roll it out" to my existing customers.

Hi, its ok but the name of your company is   SCRIMKING but your leaflet advertises wfp only , taking away the need for a scrim, so  i agree you should add traditional first and foremost,

or change your name  ;)

First thing i thought also need a landline on there. to help the response ratio as leaflet dropped to call ratio is always low

Hi,

You will get & am sure you have had customers & friends ask "what does scrimking mean".

I thought your leaflet was okay. But if you want me to be picky ;D
1. change your name because Scrimking relates only to trad as gazza says. Time and again when giving out leaflets people ask me what my name is. You might not think including your name is important but the customer does.
2.Call divert from your landline costs £1.74 a month so there is no need for mobile no. By the same token if your phone no relates to an area all the better. Play the local card every chance you get.
3.The bullet points should be followed by benefits. Fully ins is not a benefit, neither is friendly and reliable. Examples of benefits might be- frames and sills cleaned everytime, convenient payment methods, or stays cleaner longer.

But.... it's still better than my first attempt and I'm sure you'll get a good responce. Get delivering.

Hi,

Your leaflet is ok, but I'm sure you could make it a lot more interesting.

First impression not easy to see what you do. Your name is much too bold and to a customer means nothing. If it was Kings Window Cleaning or such like the name says what you do and can be bold.

Short, punchy and bold. The leaflet below is one I used to use some time ago and brought in good results. It was printed black on yellow/gold paper a5 size. It's not perfect. But when it lands on a door mat it's clear we are window cleaners.

Hope it helps a bit
