Your tank i believe is stapped to the chassis? How is this done - did you have to make slots in the floor and did you protect the strap fron chafing on the metal edges?

No, it isnt like that. It has big eyebolts connected to the chassis with spreading plates underneath, then the straps hook onto the eyebolts. Something like these:



I'm going to have a cage built soon though, not because it feels unsafe but to make it extra safe and also to have the pump, varistream, di vessels, cone holder all together in one unit. I have some other ideas too, regarding atachments for hose reels etc etc. Luke

So the eyebolts go through the floor? Did you do it yourself or have someone fit it? I'm curious because mine is not attatched to the chassis but i have spreader plates under the floor. I drilled a hole recently to feed my hose through and was shocked at how thin the floor is, so i'm looking at a better way but don't want to pay out too much. I had thought of strapping right round the chassis members but the fuel tank is in the way (despatch). I had a look at the prices of cages on Wintec but they are not cheap and still need fitting.
