Oh here comes know it all big mouth ::)

There was nowhere near the choice 10 years ago and if it wasn't for these poles you would still be probably using a squeegee! They have helped the WFP industry move ahead, develop and become popular. Where is the false economy/health hazard/Heavy!!? Compared to what?

and don't say Facelift, etc, cause if it wasn't for these type of poles they would exsist...

 ;)

Tell people the truth & be realistic or just tell them what they want to hear?

One helps, one doesn't. bit like simon cowell & louis walsh.

thats me foxman ( the same expert foxman who thinks regenerated purolite is as good as virgin resin ) yeah, some expert ::)

macmac speaks from the cuff, nothing wrong with that, we all have different opinions that is what makes this forum so interesting.

er hello!?

Isn't Dowex MB400 as well???

Where does it say anything about Purolite? and who are Derwent Water?? May they Regenerate their resin - thats up to them as long as they tell the customer.

Taken from Purolite website:-

Purolite® MB400

Mixed Bed Exchange Resin

Purolite MB400 is a high quality resin mixture for direct purification of water. It is suitable for use in regenerable or non-regenerable cartridges and in large ion exchange units. Passage of water at recommended flow rates through the resin as supplied can achieve almost complete reduction of total dissolved solids. The residuals produce average conductivity values of about 0.1 µs cm-1 for a major portion of the service run which may be extended depending upon the final water quality acceptable. Equivalent volumes of ultra pure water may be obtained after regeneration but only if sufficient regenerant quantities are employed to achieve the percentage conversion levels equivalent to those of the "as supplied" resin. Generally acceptable capacity and quality is obtained economically at lower regeneration

Tony, it looks like you've got your wires crossed mate. If you look at the above it states that you CAN regenerate the resin if done properly and get good results - it's not regenerated to begin with!

That's the problem with listening to people on forums, some of them dont really know what they are talking about.  ::)

I had an omnitrolley when I first started, and found it to be an absolute pain, lugging it in and out of the van all day, and constantly having to refill it, not to mention all the barrels!!
Get yourself a van mount, you won't regret it!!!

I agree with that, van mount is the answer. If you think you don`t need a van mount you`ve never had one.

i would agree about the earlier comment on the 17ft xtel. A very cheap pole that does almost everything. You would also need a 25ft+ pole to reach (almost)everything. The 17ft has nice short sections and will do most upstairs and all downstairs.
Whatever pole you get, i recommend you asking for 15 metres of extra pole hose on top of it's normal length. This will allow you to leave the trolley in or or 2 places to reach the whole property. That dangly little bit of extra hose that comes as standard will mean you will have to move the trolley every couple of windows.
When you can, get a tank and simply plug the trolley into that. With some microbore you will then have a working van mount.
One of these is handy if you get the extra pole hose:

If you start with barrels you will learn very quickly to use less water. As you will soon get tired of running out of water on the job.
good luck with it.  :)

Cheers, as you can see you try and give solid info but all you get back is cheek.

I use step ladders too. (got a 34' hybrid but sometimes 17' plus steps is better).

Call it cheek if you want. Its just about staying on topic.

Locking the thread, as unfortunately it seems a pointless exercise now. But thanks to those who made constructive comments.
