Does anybody know where I might get a glide for my wonder wand ?

Phil, they normally come with a roller which makes it glide - has yours got one? unless you've taken it off

Will a normal glide not fit?

Yes it does have a roller on but on the forward stroke onless you crouch right down it sticks to the carpet. I had heard that there were green glides available

Ah yes, I remember now. You do have to tilt it downwards to roll it forward, but cos I'm not the tallest person in the world I didnt find it a problem

Well I'm not the tallest person in the world either, but I am 6 foot and I dont have to crouch down.
I just hold onto the handle with my right hand (am right handed [except when writing]) and drop my hand and right shoulder down a bit and it rollers - no problem.
The slit is quiet narrow on the wonderwand anyway - just 3mm. I reckon a glide may not actually fit.
I have a "standard" wand and the slit measures 7mm.
Try Cleansmart at Nottingham, they sell the Wonderwand and also glides I think.
