i was just wondering how many people put a minimum charge on theyre flyers/business cards or newspaper adds and if so how much-thanks
sorry ww, although i mentioned flyers my main question is about newspaper ads,i was thinking of putting something between 10-15 minimum charge but im not sure how potential customers will view this(dont want to sound greedy but dont want fiver houses)
I would never put a price on a leaflet, mainly because you will frighten some customers away. When they call, including the £5.00 brigade, the first thing that you do is sell yourself and your company.Doing it this way you can convince the £5.00 customer that you are well worth paying £10.00 or more because of the services that you offer.
your right william i think ill leave it out and just deal with them as they phone, the only problem with advertising in papers is the work i get is usually spread out all over the place so the minimum charge would help cover petrol/driving time-thanks all for the replies
Have you tried newspaper ads before? I only ever tried once, and found it to be a very expensive waste of time.A newspaper has a shelf life of 1 - 7 days then it's binned, if you don't get a response in those few days it's money down the drain.I prefer to advertise in YP - 24/7 365/year coverage.I only need 3 or 4 results to cover the cost, then I'm in profit.
