i did 4 poxy shops today got on the 4 shop finished it whent back to van wouldent start battery dead finaly bumped it off got it home turned it off turned it on again nothing dead got it going again to get it to garage radio going on and off no breack lights no indicarors dashboord lights flashing on and off at me oh my god i thought somethings going to cost me an arm and a leg. got it down to garage couldent find any thing wrong they had to get a electricion out any way 2 hours later about 3pm phone rings we have found the fault its a fuse but you will have to go to the dealers to get this fuse goes to garage gets the fuse never seen one this big it was an 80 amp blade fuse a fuse that caused all this and lost me a good days wage anyone had any thing simmiler happen to them hope its ok now seems to be but find out monday if it happens again a fuse i cannot belive it and the garage had to call a sparkie iut to it

Then I'd say there's another problem somewhere. Each part of the system should be protected by a lower rated seperate fuse that stops burn out of any other components.
The glow plug system should be protected by something like a 30 amp fuse that should blow out before the 80 amp.

thanks but i wount now if its cured the glow plug feed till the morning once its cold and i try and start it the glo plug relay is working as it clicks ond and off  so will have to wait till morning has any one had probs with glow plug feed on a vauxhall combo glad of any help incase its still the same in the morning

I've had similar problems in the past. On one occasion vehicle started but lost all electrics whilst driving (no indicators, speedo, lights etc.) Luckily it was daytime.

Changed fuses etc. on several occasions. Turned out main fault was a faulty/broken electrical cable which had chafed in the wiring loom. Dealership fixed the broken cable but weren't too helpful.

m.b.s. you wouldn't happen to have a Renault Trafic, Nissan Primastar or Vauxhall Vivaro by any chance would you?
