hi Adam
to start with you need a waste carriers licence which you get from the environment believe it's around about £100 odd  pound lasts for 3 years, depending on the waste that you are removing and whether you are using your own vehicles or skips
remember all electrical waste such as computers, t v's, fridges come under special waste and some tips may not take them, this can also be the situation with tyres, plastic, etc.
then you go onto hazardous waste such as abestos, sharps, feceas of any type, floucesent lighting, paint, the list goes on and go have a look on the environmental website for the correct info
contact your local landfil site for disposal price and what they will accept.
personally ourselves we use our own vehicles, but prices vary depending on where your tipping throughout the uk
good luck
Richie

by the way other than rubbish clearance you didn't say exactly what your doing
forgot to say certain green waste you cannot dispose of like japanesse knot weed with out informing the environmental

thanks richie

that was pretty much what i thought some one would say. i use to have my own window cleaning round but sold it to go travelling, now i'm just doing odd jobs and i've got a big van so thought rubbish clearance would be another way to make a bit of cash.

what do u do? how do u pick up most of your clearance work?

Adam we are a specialist cleaning company ranging from trauma to xtreme property cleaning, the waste side of our work is just part of the other services that we carry out

We don't actually carry out any cash work it's all contract work therefore cheques, but their are people that carry out rubbish clearance, garden waste etc via local papers, yellow pages, ads etc

one bit of advice i will give you is that you need a transfer note to dispose of waste which you can obtain from the environmental along with you waste carriers licence, tip shouldn't allow you to dispose of waste without a transfer note and you have to keep a copy of them
cheers
