council tenders

anyone got any council tenders?
how do you go about it?
do you have to be a massive company to be able to apply?

sooooooooo sorry about all the questions guys any help would be great  :)

i work for a council i do all their housing work wfp is a must and be expected to take calls none stop its a great contract to have and realy its all down to who you know

A local council near me has just put its window cleaning out to tender . I sent for details, and never even hd a reply .
Sometimes its who you know not what you know .

You need to establish a personal contact in the Council and cultivate them. Go and see them, take pictures of what you do, become a real person not just a name on a bit of paper.

My friend Derek does a lot of work for his local County Council regarding transport and minibuses for special needs kids. He says its all down to finding the right person to talk to. His council is 100% straight but he has tried to establish the same sort of contact in other councils and been asked for backhanders.
If that sort of thing is going on you don't stand a chance.

ive worked for a few local councils, once as a " building grants inspector" the backhanders flying around were shocking, they really were
