My mum lost her purse last week with around the same amount of money in it.  Like the old lady in the storey she had her bus pass in it, so they would have known she was a 70 year old woman.  Although the money was her much needed Christmas present money, other things of very sentimental value which are worthless to the thief, are impossible for her to replace.

Pity the person finding it was not as honest as Elginn-Sparrowhawk.

Sorry to hear that peter, I just hope they buy something electrical with your mums money and end up electrocuting them selfs, I can't put on here what I would really like to say? But like this old dears daughter, I bet you felt angry and gutted too?

This old dear did have a few other things in there like her wedding ring thats to big for her now and a picture of her husband who died last year, also in her purse was her gas card and electric meter key, the hasstle alone this would have caused her trying to get these company's to replace her keys to enable her to get electric and gas, she needed to top them both up and thats why they were in her purse.

nice one  ;D            i think on the whole 99.9% of us window cleaners are hard working honest guys and i realy belive most of us would do the same thing.its a real shame that a tiny number of arse holes can give window cleaning a bad name because its realy not justified.it would be nice if this story could get into your local paper, great story and great for the profession of window cleaning in general.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D well done

Well done that honest man.

I do a commercial job for just over £100 every 6 weeks.....
I have just recieved in the post a cheque from their accounts dept for £350 which they don't owe me!
Then I opened another envelope and...would you believe it...another cheque from them for £300!!
So I have £650 which is not mine.  And they're now closed until the 7th Jan

I'm going to have to sit and look at £650 that doesn't belong to me for the next 2 weeks!! :'(

What a warm Christmas story.  :)

Honesty is it's own reward and you must be feeling pretty good now.

I found a ladies bag once and took it back to her house. She wasn't in so I left it with a neighbour who asked for my address.

Next day the lady came to my house with a bottle of whisky.

It obviously made her feel better to reward me and and I was happy to receive it.  ;)
Cheers,
Neil

Nice one Pj
I know what you will do, as I also know your one of the honest ones amongst us, I wish you, your family and all the members on here a very merry christmas.

Just a little update on the story, I had a knock on the front door this afternoon and it was the daughter, she bought me around a card and a tin of quality street from Mum, I didn't have the heart to tell them it would go nice with the other 9 tins I had from my custy's this year ;D The Mrs already wrapped a tin up and gave it to the kids next door.

Here's a picture of some of the gifts I had from my custy's this year, I've have already eaten the steak I had ;D
