4 ,5,6,8,12,week cleans
« on: December 23, 2007, 02:45:12 pm »
we talk a lot about cleans on a 45678and 12 week rotation
CLEANS but  ............................
how often on avarge do we need to treat these as a first clean ,and not as a maintance clean. i know the weather can make a difference but  for instance say does  an eight week clean needs more time than a four and so on
trad or wfp trd needs a little more elbow grease but what about wfp ?

it is obvious that the longer you leave a window to get dirty the longer it will take to clean and if wfp it will use more water, trad is the same, and whoever replies saying I am wrong please think about it before hand.

I have debated  this before and although the vast majority of my customers are on a four week rotation most of them are still clean when I go around. ;)

Theoretically an eight week clean will have dirtier windows but in practise I don't think they take any longer or use more effort which is why I charge the same.
Cheers,
Neil

I think the maintenance clean is the right route eg every four weeks it makes life easier knowing that they will come up spot free when you leave job as i always have my doubts if every 3 months or something of the like.

Most of my cleans are 8 weekly and about a dozen that are 4 weekly...and to be honest I clean them the same way but I am always very carefull with the rising...i.e ensure that it gets a get thorough rising.

Cheers
Dave.

I try not to go any higher than 8 weeks,if i get to busy i sift out work to be replaced by new work.If you have to many 12 weekers it`s harder work and more like first cleans if the houses are surrounded by trees etc. It`s more difficult these days though as my work is all worth keeping.

I always charge an extra couple of pounds on an 8 week cycle. The punters love it  ;D

I have a few jobs (the larger ones) on a 12 week cycle.  Any less frequent than that I would start to regard as a first clean.  A lot can depend on local conditions too though - e.g.  tree sap, pollution from main road etc.

I don't do anything different on an 8 or even a 12 week clean once the initial clean is out of the way. In fact, I don't necessarily even know what the frequency is when I turn up. I just print off the daily list and go.
You certainly can't tell from looking at the windows.

I take on  work at whatever cycle the customer wants it's not too much of a problem with George. It does mean some weeks are busier than others but on the plus side it makes the round far less boring and monotonous. I offer a five week clean but most ask for six. If i was too rigid then i would not get the work - there are many cleaners in my area and many more coming in from outside too. I don't travel far to work as the variation in cleans would cripple the fuel bill.

most of my round commercial and domestic is on a 4 weekly basis , and a small amount is 8 weekly ,
i dont charge any more for either !
i dont do any house less frequently than 8wkly.
in my opinion most houses dont need doing more than 6/8 wkly as they are normally clean when you go back after 4 weeks, although that would halve most of our rounds !!
however , i look at it that i am keeping them clean , rather than waitng for them to get dirty again , which im sure some of them would prefer !
