P&r, not saying your wrong but as i read the article in window talk it said that the government was giving the water companies more power and one thing it said was to stop the use of water fed poles.
having said that i just found this post on cleaning pros.

http://www.another forum.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb2.2/YaBB.pl?num=1195311108

Seems that i think it is saying that the house holder can't use wfpoles( during a hose pipe ban)
or have i got the wrong end of the stick?

I suppose my backup plan would be to use a ladder to clean windows as they are not banned and can be used on the condition that a ladder stability device is used anything that was condsider to be dangerous i would use a pole with an ettore backflip or unger vice versa i would use gg3 doing pole work.

I wonder what the consequences would be if you were not meant to use wfp.
Is it a £2000 fine?
and if so how would you get caught
would more than likely be joe public grassing than actually the waterboard catching you!

A hosepipe ban does not stop companies using water only a draught order does and there aint been one in the South of england for donkeys years.

The last drought order where I am in SE England was 2006.  :o

As I understand it the ban on washing windows with hosepipes ( which is how they sais it ) would be included in hosepipe bans in future, not drought orders.
I am still not convinced that anyone, including the Water Companies knows what it means in reality. In the last hose pipe ban I couldn't wash my car with a hose but I could drive down to the hand car wash and pay someone else to wash it with a pressure washer on a hose. Mad.
