what do you think?
« on: December 18, 2007, 10:54:34 am »
hi im in a bit of a wonder what to do,
i have been asked to tender for a 203 room block of accomidation, hopefully to be getting cleaned end of april and handover 17 aug
ive got two choices,
choice 1 get a team of six and do it in one go that will take nearly 6 weeks to do constantly.

choice 2 i am really thinking of getting 3 people from end of april on site constant for the duration until hand over,

the cost are very similar so which one do you think, putting in quote at end of the week

tell me which one and if you have any more advice feel free to share

thanx jonny

try 3 people i used to use teams of 3 i now have just one woman who does the same job in half the time. contractors like to see the same cleaners all the time they really dont like new cleaners as they dont know what they are going to get. that way you get more repeat business.

hi there

i think you will find that the client will have a delivery timetable which you will need to work to, in the tender document

Nobody can answer that question as although you have quoted 203 rooms what communual area's are there, how big are the rooms, are there lots of windows, landings, corridors, stairs etc.  I hope you get the job though, and then you can let us all know how profitable the job was and wether it was worth it.
