IMO and IME a resin chamber partially filled will channel, thus a percentage of water going through will be untreated and contaminate what should otherwise be cleansed water.

A similar thing can happen if a seal isn't quite seated right when you reassemble your DI vessel. At least it can with mine. I have the Freedom one. Don't know if yours works simillar.

no i took the reading straight away. hopefully thats the problem then. mad though iv only had it 2 months and purified prob only 1500 litres and tds went so high.

Let it run for a while before taking the readings then.  My RO can take a good 5 minutes to settle down.  The knock on effect to the water in the DI vessel may take at least an extra 5 minutes after that.  One day, when you've got time, fill your van mount (or whatever you fill) and allow things to run a good 15 minutes to be on the safe side - then do your TDS tests.  Could you post the results as I would be interested to see how it goes?

iv got the small blue di vessel after my merlin unit. after it goes through merlin it says 29 ppm then after resin 12 ppm.. maybe i put too much resin in as lid wont screw on properly...im getting bit worried lol

the really small one?

like this?

in my opinion you need a bigger di vessel if that is the one you have aboce. i had a small one and it was useless. one this size has lasted me over a year now, mind you, my ppm is around 050

heres the link too, you could always get a bigger one too

I know it might seem a silly question, but have you got the di tank the right way round, ie have you got the inlet and outlet the wrong way round?  I have had a few people do this accidently after changing the resin in their di vessel.

have you knocked the filter inside the resin vessal? if you have it will not be working correctly. I took mine to bits so I know how to fault find if needbe, put tipex on the out end to save problems, all though many have in & out on some dont.

I put the resin on wrong way once lol and shot resin straight out of it, luck I didnt have it contected to tank or that would have been a nightmare.
