Hi guys,
i was the one who bought this unit from the ebay link above. Got it for £300 so quite a bargain i should think - came with 300 gallon tank and a grundfos booster pump. He said theres no need for mains because it has the tank and booster pump - so i can run this unit from home from my normal domestic water supply.
You say you got this for 10,000??? 3 years ago pole man..
looks great, i dont know how to use it though so you guys who have had the same one or similar before can you instruct me ?
how to use it properly and anyone know where i can get replacement parts like new filters / membranes for it?? and what sort of water production rate this system has?

now im going to use this at home and have my existing 300gpd ro system at a relatives closer to a round so i can fill up from there.

he said its been serviced regularly and maintained, so looks like a good unit. Does anyone know the suppliers website for spare parts?

thanks
Jon

yes i think so, i think the listing on ebay didnt get that much interest because it was in the 'industrial supply' category rather than 'window cleaning' or 'water fed pole' or 'reverse osmosis regular categories that window cleaning stuff is sold in- i know its an industrial unit -but im sure it would have had more interest in the window cleaning category on ebay and perhaps other bids - there were about 130 views-

anyway im not complaining, it wasnt too far away either about 25 miles.

does anyone know the suppliers website? or where i can get replacements for it?

JONROB:

Its lucky you have mates that do the research. Its made by Penatair but under the betavalve/siata brand name:

http://www.betavalve.com/PDFs/Controller/R.O.%20SIMPLY/Manuals/English/M2-GB_b_simply.PDF

http://www.betavalve.com/siatav.htm

I was going to buy it but decided not too, Luke

Jonrob, don't get ripped off. You have a bargain. Its probably over the top for what you need and replacemt filters will cost alot. Hold onto it and sell it after Christmas, when people have more money. Contact Pentair and see if they would like to buy it back or sell it on ebay. It didnt reach its optiumum price for some reason, this could be because of the time of year and small market for this type of thing. I doubt very much you will get anything near its original value as its probaly out of warranty. My dad bought a Franking machine a while back for nothing. To buy new they are over £36000 but he was unable to sell it for anything near that price!!! Luke

Well done that is a bargin

What I would do is

A/ spend a bit of time working it all out (if your diy minded)

or

B/ contact a local water enginee / plumb

Give you some idea my system use to make 1000lts of pure water in one hour and 40 mins

Print firm i worked for had about eight similar units running day and night. I thing the pumps were over £200. If the firm goes bust I'll be in there like a shot with my crowbar ;)

thanks guys - i stumbled accross the betavalve website before, thanks for the links luke, it is a bit over the top for what i need for a ro system, but its good quality and makes water much faster for me- im sure it will help
1000 ltrs in 1 hour and 40 minutes is much better - my current 300gpd system does that in about 72 - 96 hours. I think i will hold onto it for a while and use it,- im sure i could get more than what i paid for it if i did sell it eventually. In the mean time im going to hook it all up in my garage.
