what do you do about the frost when the water freezes on the ground a few of my jobs yesterday made the paths pure ice .so I had to call it a day last thing I want is some one suing me

salt it,

 go to local supermarket and buy bags of table salt, works for me.

if i feel there is a chance of the water freezing on the ground, i'll throw a handfull of rock salt down.
got mine from a local janitorial supplier.

I think you are allowed to take salt from those yellow road side boxes. Not sure on that, but that's what I'd do.

I brush the path etc to get rid of the worst of the water then put rock salt down.
