Had a Phone call from the office today (well it was the wife actually )

I have been reccomended on a personal basis for a job a few miles away from me by one of the larger franchises in the area
it seems that they quoted a price which she accepted and when they attempted to clean it there carbonating solution did not touch it

Now this is quite strange in itself being reccomended personally from a competitor but what makes it even stranger was that it was the first ever franchise that a worked for about 4 1/2 years  ago (i went back to work for them just before xmas last year  cause i was out of work and i needed some money as fire and flood work was bottoming out of the network and to cut a long story short we didnt part as best of freinds (i sent a nice email to head office who didnt like what i put)   anyway enough of me have any of you other guys ever had reccomendations from strange sources?

As for recommends/referals from peculiar sources? I suppose the most unusual for me was somebody in New Zealand arranging for me to clean her mom's carpets in Birmingham. Wonderful thing the internet.

I have had recommendations from a local cleaning co not half a mile away. It appears that I posted a leaflet through their door and they were impressed with it. It seems that they do not want to take on any more work in the area, so they have been passing them on to me.
