Hi
You will need to survey the area first as the extent of the gum will undoubtedly vary from one part to another.
Figure out how long it will take you and then charge accordingly.
The method you use will obviously determine how long it takes you and the results you will get, also, you might want to sell the customer the service of having the whole area cleaned too, otherwise it will look patchy if you just remove the gum.
Hope this helps

Hi Mark
Yes indeed I have and I would never have one again if you paid me to... biggest waste of money ever!!!
It's only selling point really is the collection of the gum it removes, this doesn't work all of the time but when it does the chamber fills up so quickly you end up spending more time emptying it than cleaning.
I hated it with a passion if you haven't guessed but you may feel differently so if you can try one for size then that would be the best way.
Good luck.
Andy

Hello, to price gum I measure the area, then for each part I take four 1m patches and count the gum in them - this gives you an average so you can roughly work out the total pieces of gum. I know it sounds long winded but you need to be accurate and given the time it takes to remove one piece you can then work outthe time for the whole job and hence the price. I use a steamer as on the gum cart.

Hello, I got fed up keep going up the council and getting the run around ( probably need to join a lodge) so I gave up but the only enquirys come through my website
www.bdcleaningservices.co.uk
. I really must sort the page out !!!
You can hassle the big companys but they usually got the contract tied up so the local managers are restricted to that , you could try schools and the local shopping centres.
