I have got two, when they are working they are excellent, but they tend to be unreliable.

I am having problems making sure the vac pump tubing above the vac motors stays watertight, one vac was ruined because of this problem six months ago, I have the same problem again, poor design in my opinion.  :(

Hi Spencer.
I had the same problem. It was the join at the waste tank, I dismantled it and sealed it properly, it`s been fine since.
Had a fair bit hassle but it seems to have settled down now  :-X
Very good machine.

Rabby,

I would be interested to know what you used to seal it, I am glad I am not the only one!  :)

Had the same problem too, had to get a new vac motor fitted (free of course). Simply take it apart, dry thoroughly and use silicone sealant (available verywhere!). Let it cure for 24hrs minimum.

Job done. Its been fine since.

Not sure how kosher it is, but just seen a new one on London gumtree for £900.

Sounds too good to be true to me.

I changed from powermax to Speedster earlier in the year and they are streets apart, the Speedster is far more powerful on all counts. The only downside is youll notice a difference in the weight as the powermax is really light.I only had a few minor problems that were soon sorted.

As Kev said Spencer, I used a bath sealant, I`m always careful taking of the filter to clean.
The plastic washers are very hard, I would have thought softer ones would be better and theres not
a lot of thread to work with.
Another thing to watch for is the pressure adjuster, it`s just asking to be knocked and it will be.
What can happen is the priming switch will not close as it should and every time you stop the machine
for a few minuets, you will lose pressure and have to prime again, or at worst, complete pressure failure. The solution is to simply pull the adjuster over to its original position. Just got this worked out this week after months of re priming. It has worked hard for me the last few days with no pressure drop.

Yeah Fred still fancy a Prowler, Feel free to get in touch I could do with someone to pass work on to now and again.

Del, you tight git, are you watching your phone bill?  ;)

Hope this helps

Mmmm, very suspect. Sent me an email saying he cannot talk on the phone due to a neck infection and he can only eat soup.  ::).  Ignoring my emails now since I decided to have some fun with him.

Stay well clear.
