Depends what you intend to use it on, technique, composition, levels of soiling, wear, staining etc.

You could have the best product ever, but in the wrong hands results could be awful.

More information on this post and on your profile would help.

Depends on what you've been told really.

I use it and think the product is amazing - as do my customers. Have tried the leading competitor (which now seems to be co-sponsoring this forum) but haven't been as pleased - although I do use their spotters!!

Hope this helps.

Think you need to answer this one.

For my 2 pennies worth I have just started using Solutions M/S ,they do take a bit of getting used to but............ once you master it you will not go back to conventional chemicals as your main point of entry.

To Clarify

We do not co-sponsor this or any other site.

Solution Glockner did launch and manufacter One Step for quite a long period,
They now manufacter the Solution Range of products.

The term Micro Splitting was "invented" by Gunter Glockner as a marketting tag.

Only the end user can decide which product they prefer. We would obviously believe we have the best if you would like to try it contact us with regard to samples.

Best regards Nick

There are very few instances that i can see where micro splitters wont produce fantastic results if they are used correctly, and lets face it, its not exactly rocket science is it!!
I cant comment on which micro splitter is the best, but with Solutions i can vouch for the quality service, prompt deliveries, business advice, fantastic prices on both chems and equipment, all of which help run a successful business....What more can you ask for?

I am totally sold on the microsplitting methods. Have had fantastic results. Carpets, rugs, suites, stuff just melts away the soil! Don't need lots of water either.

Have been using one-step - but have tried solutions (from samples) and cannot tell them apart. Have an open mind on which one is superior at the moment.

Jacko,

As far as the basic products from both suppliers are concerned, they are so similar that it would take a carefully controlled experiment to determine any difference in the cleaning effect.

With the spotting products that may be a different matter

Hi Guys,

From my experience of laboratory product development , if someone leaves one company and starts up another making very similar products  , providing there are no development restrictions , then the products will be near if not  completely identical.

Afterall you will just repeat what you know works!

Cheers,

Doug

I have used both One Step and Solution.I found no difference in the cleaning results my decision was based purely on cost.Solution being alot cheaper and as a business man in business to make money the right decision I believe. ;D

I was always under the impression that Ed Crawford (One-Step inventor) contracted Gunter to produce One-Step in Europe for him

It apparently went all downhill from there..

I don't want to reopen a can of worms but something just ain't quite right here????

Derek,

I think that can has been open for some time, and those worms just wont keep still.

I would question who invented One Step, having been informed, years ago, that the product (not necessarily under that name) was in production as a cleaning agent prior to Mr Crawfords involvement. That and associated matters will - or will not - be sorted out elsewhere.

I do know that Gunter was not only producing but marketing One Step  (on behalf of Mr Crawford) for some years. I imported some from him about 15 years ago.

Your final sentence is in line with what I have always understood...thank you.

This was the total opposite of what was said in the post I replied to.... this is why I felt that although there is a ongoing battle in the background it should not be perpetuated on the UK forums.

Unfortunately, as I have said on a previous occasion, two very nice chaps, who I have the utmost respect for, in the UK have become involved in someone elses argument ...I doubt if either of these two gentlemen know the 'whole' truth either.

May I suggest that comments on these contentious issues remain 'off' the bulletin boards.

Regards
Derek

John,

I would think these products  are sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) , or if not a very similar product.

Cheers,

Doug,

That compound was mentioned to me many years ago (not by anyone currently associated with micro-splitter production or distribution) and I was asked to keep the entire conversation confidential.

I cannot elaborate further, other to say that my view of the early history of micro-splitters may differ from that held by others.

I do agree with my little brother that these forums are not the best venue for (ill-informed) debate and that I, for one, have no wish to fuel any current ill-feeling that may exist  between two respected members of our industry who, in reality, are peripheral to the main  historic disagreement.

I currently use Prochems range of cleaning products with good results. Am i likely to see an improvement using microsplitters?

Also how are the used?
