Tend to look online, I normally know what I want and the brand to buy, if I use a company and they are not quick off the mark to answer a question or post the item I then look elsewhere, replying to emails is one thing quite a few online forget about, this is normally a hot lead that goes colder by the hour.
Ebay is good for some things. There are no shops around this area to buy window cleaning Equipment nearest I know is 25 odd miles away in cambridge.

research online, price up online, take info from this forum (although you have to trust the author's experience of the posts, which is sometimes dodgy to say the least). learn from posts who have no other motive than to help you & not to sell you anything, make his self look bigger/better/wiser & advises from experience & not theory. When i look at pics of some peoples systems on this forum i'm shocked at what i see, overkill would be a good term to explain it (let alone all the extra weight it causes) or from some supplier's eyes- trying to justify their price!
No system is rocket science, just simple diy & half a brain & you can have any system you like ;)

Just a side point - I'm still waiting for you to let me know which end connector you'd like  :)  (Sorry to interrupt the post)

Almost all of my wfp stuff comes from an online suplier (Gardiners)

And all my trad stuff comes from a trade counter (Soap National) allthough sometimes if I havent got time to go there and I order online anyway

Gardiners, soapnational, wintecs, scrimcity all been good for me. Obviously Alex is always about which is handy. :)
Some other suppliers are absolutely hopeless regarding emails - many don't answer and one seems to send dixlexic replies.

I would say only 20% order on the net, 30% phone and 50% collect it from the supplier. Just remember only a small portion of window cleaners go on line, look at this forum if all went on line then we would probably have 1000 users on this forum.

Alot of window cleaners go online and dont go on forums but order online, I would say it is well over 20% that order online

I get most of my stuff from a small local supplier, but I buy online when it isn't in stock. I have tried a few online suppliers and they have always been helpful to me.
Do all the good you can, and make as little fuss about it as possible.
