I know a lot of carpet cleaners use the Sebo BS36.

but what other vac cleaners are being used, and what are the advantages and disadvantages?

I use BS36 for offices and the Dart for domestic jobs  ;D

Do have a backpack for curtains when up and down steps  ;)

Use Hunter vacuums on upholstery & mattresses ............ try to use and advertise the fact you use Hepa filters   :o

Sebo BS36 good but I tend to use the dart 2 more now as its more agile ,but not as robust as the bs36.

Joe all the makes mentioned above are good including the Nilfisk GU350A which I put in my residential homes. I Believe the new Oreck is pretty good too. Basically any twin motored vac that has a decent beater bar will do.

Thanks guys - just being nosey as to what others use.
I have the Sebo BS36, and the Hunter hand held.
I have a Sebo Felix for our own home, I understand the Dart 2 is a wider head, but the bags are smaller then the BS36 are'nt they.

Notice one person had the Kirby. I would have thought for a large area that would be pretty good.

In the domestic cleaning side of the business have had an Oreck XL but that was noisey - highs rpm.
Hav'nt seen/worked the "new" commercial Orecks. Anyone?

I use the Dart 2 most these days,Its bigger than the felix Joe in trms of the motorised head only.
I used to use the little hunters on mattresses but now use a Filter queen which is no comparrison.
On suites I use filter queen again with turbo head.

We have Darts and BS36's, I was using one of the 36's today, its nice not to have to bend over all of the time when sucking out the edges.  :)  Must be getting old.

Spencer thats a big plus as well as the larger bag it holds compared to the dart. The only annoyance is that I have a cloth bag for the bs36 but they wount produce one for the dart  :(
