Apparently it doesn't work on Windows though.
Not really much use on most applications then. ::)

What better alternatives are about please?

No, I'm on about Windows on the handheld.

I don't need it to work on my pc, I just want to have my accounts on a handheld with me at work.

You have to have it on your pc then the pocket george takes the list of work for the day/week and the complete debt list
Im not really upto speed on all things computer but pocket george only works on palm pda as i understand it

Why can't I just have all my accounts on the PDA? ???
That's a bit crap.
I don't want to p1ss about transferring stuff, it would be easier with pen and paper.
It's supposed to SAVE time.

Why make a program that doesn't work on the industry standard OS? ???

Does the demo video come on Betamax only?

There's got to be better about than that surely?  ;D ???

I use George on a Palm and its great.

Rog.......How can it be easier with a pen and paper???? At the endof the day I place the palm in the cradle and it automatically syncs with the PC. Thats takes no time at all.

Hi

"Why make a program that doesn't work on the industry standard OS?".

If only it was a standard!!

There are umpteen different versions out there (PocketPC, Windows CE, Windows Mobile etc) and they aren't all compatable with each other. I would have to write a different version for each of them - and I'm not going to do that...

PalmOs machines are cheap, reliable and consistent. One version of PocketGeorge works on all of them...

I think this runs on a PocketPC: http://www.insightdirect.com/

...and I'd like to have read it...

But it was probably another criticism. ::)

Paul, very good of you to recommend a rival piece of software!
Cheers for that.  :)
