I was just pootling round the web looking for overtrousers for the winter and came across this. Ordered Friday, came today. The parka is BIG and maybe too baggy for work, although with extra layers it may not be too bad. The trousers are ACE! They come way up round the kidney area, and are elasticated there so minimizing the potential for cold air getting in (or warm "air" getting out I suppose!). Snug round the ankle but not so snug you can't get them over a boot. Feel really cosy! Bring on the cold!

North Face or Berghaus! £300+for a decent Jacket and Trouser combo I suspect! I'll buy that for a jaunt up an Alp but not for the day to day grind of cleaning windows. I did use my Buffalo top on a couple of really cold days last winter but worried all day that I was going to snag it on something. TBH when I'm using the brush I don't think the bulk will be a problem, and the trousers certainly aren't bulky. I would say just get the troosers if you don't fancy the jacket. I think the parka will earn it's keep down the allotment this winter...
Interestingly, I saw Ray Mears at the Cheltenham Town Hall last month and he's not a big fan of extremely technical materials in cold environments. Although he was talking about Arctic I think
