Sebo Duo Maintenance?
«
on:
November 10, 2004, 10:30:40 pm »
Used my new sebo duo today for the first time (bargain at £160 + vat from Nick
). Very Pleased with it, cant believe how light it is!
Just wondered what needs to be done with cleaning and maintenance of it? The brushes seem to be very tight into the body, so not easy to get in a clean around them.
Also do I use just the one set of brushes for every carpet type, or are different brushes available?
Whats the point of the detachable tray on the base?
Thanks
Chris

Chris you remove the tray and give it to the customer saying 2 sugars please and only a small slice of cake.
As she makes the tea you get on agitating the carpet

4 small Phillips screws and brushes can be slid out for cleaning.
5 minute job, if done regularly.

another use for the tray, is to stop the brushes ggetting a flat spot by taking the weight of them, although the duo is light,i imagine if left standig on the brushes, they would go flat at piont of contact,

Tray is perfect for standing Duo in job and not marking floors/carpets but if you store on its side in van ........remove tray to allow thorough drying of brushes

Chris. if you look at the bottm you'll see a plate held on with 6 screws this plate has teeth that project into the bruches, these brushes colllects heir & crap off the brushes, take of this plate once a week and clean it.
to clean the brushes, turn on thr power and hold a fork into the brushes, this will comb out all the collected debris.

Been wondering how much Nick charges for Sebo Duo.
Many of you seem to prefer this to a power brush.
Why?

nick charges £160+vat for the duo, and it is different to the power brush, inso far as you dont use it directly with your HWE machine, it is only a groming / brushing machine, very light and a joy to use

I've got the host and the duo. Duo is easy to use due to its ergonomics and is fine for residential. I prefer the host for commercial as its more aggressive but heavier, noiser, more expensive to buy.
