been using both on different brushes & when using fan jets i found that i need less pressure, so less water. when i use pencil jets i need to turn may varistream up. has anyone found the same as me?

No, I need to turn up the flow to get the fan jets to work correctly, so I find pencils better for me.

I hate pencil, don't mind fans, but just adore er "Gardiners" needle jets. Am i allowed to say that? Oh well, i'm sure Alex 'n' Kirsty will turn a blind eye

did you buy the low pressure fan jets ...there are 2 types low and high... i have no problem with the low pressure ones.

Yep the cleantech ones, very poor spray pattern when used with the same setting as the pencil ones, need to turn the dial on varistream higher

i was about to order some new brushes from gardners is he selling these needle jets yet or is someone having a wind up

I'm pretty sure Gardiners sell needles as standard trevor. Maybe Alex can clear that up for you

All of our brushes come with standard jets on them.  These are basically brass fittings that have a 2 mm diameter jet hole which the water squirts out of. Some people call these pencil jets, others call them needle jets.  The main difference between our jets and many others is that ours are best. 



and also the jet hole is the most balanced size for the majority of users.

I thought pencil was the droopy arc shaped jet,whereas your "needles" as i call them seem to be more er direct and powerful. IMHO
