Why is no one using two single resin DI units suerly this would be very easy to back wash with already DI'd water and make re genarating very simple.
Or am I missing something

This is like saying if I tip water into my whiskey do I get twice as much whiskey :)

If you read the net pets article it says to always run the water through the Cation first and then the Anion, it's just a thought.

Just to add my bit , for a long time now i have been saving myself a small fortune on resin , i am DI only with a TDS of about 100 , i used to buy a bag every month , i now get one every 3 months , and the sophisticated piece of equipment i use cost me £3.49 !
All that is needed is a 10 litre swing bin and two elbows .
The water is constantly fed from bottem left of bin to top right of bin , then into holding tank , the slower you can get the flow the longer the resin will last.
1st Pic , the bin , 2nd Pic , the flow rate .

That's what is implied in the netpets article, it even advises you on the flow rate per cubic foot of resin . Also says it's better to filter your water before DI and tell's you what to use, it's wrth the time it takes you to read it.

Is it possible to send PM on this site as I don't want to highjack the thread by going off some where else .
There must be quite a few of us on here that can speak several languages.
