I have a 650lt upright tank with a leak in the inside of the internal baffles.
 I have been meaning to ask for some help for a while in fixing it, is there some kind of resin that will seal the hole,i was thinking of heating it to help seal the hole any advice would be gratefully recieved .

I would use a fibregalss repair kit, the kind canoesit use to repair their boats, that is the best way

It's under warranty and you didn't fit it.
The split can only be where the 2 halves of the tank are 'welded' together.
It will only get worse - get them to replace the whole tank.

If you can't spare the time and long trek to the supplier, suggest you contact a local plastic bumper repairer as they do plastic welding. It's a special gun they use. Wonder how it would work with a damp tank?

I would doubt very much that fibreglass would repair a plastic tank - it would never bond to it properly. Plastic canoes are usually welded with plastic strips melted into the crack.

Not half as desperate as you think.
I got this tank as a free bee as it had a hole in it i was hoping to fix it to but it to some good use perhaps as a storage tank for you spruce {i thourght we had to use our normal names not our secret identities on the forum}.

Davew I canoe and so did my dad and this kit is designed for septic tanks and canoes, the fibreglass kit uses epoxy resin which will bond to anything, Luke

Luke likewise, but todays kayaks are all plastic - fibreglass went out years ago unless you have a specialised sea kayak or custom built surf kayak. The plastic ones are definately welded when repaired.
