ive used a few of them over the yrs, cant say i was best impressed with the build standards, but then you dont find these probs untill they go wrong and you strip down to repair, i would say you can get better for your money, the alltech addvantage is a good machine,so are the prochem one,s

but its only my opion ;D

We use 2 extracta exels with scrubba deluxe heads, I can't fault them, personnally I think their build quality and back up service is second to none, much more robust than Prochem and similar machines.

When I first set up I went all over looking at different machines and the Extracta Exel was the best portable I could find.

They don't advertise much, because they don't need to, their machine sells itself.  If you are really considering what machine to buy, I would give them a call, pop up to see them and speak to John or Brian - both cracking blokes who were cleaners for many years and who have helped me out with advice many a time.

I agree with Steve,
In fact I operated with Extractas for 20 years, first with a old model C , also Myna's. then 2 EXELs . various Scrubbas. I put 3200 hours on an Exel in just 2.5 yrs and had only vac and pump motor renewals (apart from a couple of switches).
They may (to some people) look "old fashioned" but they have the best glass fibre shells in the industry even some other manufactorers envy this, but at least they dont look like Wheelie Bins !.
Dont forget that FibreGlass bodys are FULLY repairable, whereas ABS/rotomoulded and similar plastics are NOT. Another plus is they use 7.2in (NOT5.7in) vac motors and more important not in Series.

I've just bought the DX from Extracta and find them a pleasure to deal with.  There was no pressure to buy their machines or products, no pressure to add accessories I wouldn't necessarily use (dry solvent - Ashbys) or marketing aids (Alltec), just sound advice in laymans terms.

No disrespect to either Ashbys or Alltec intended.

Hi ,

I've used many Extracta's over the years and have generally found good solid build.

I have  recently had a whole load of problems with the solution pipe bursting  , including inside the machine. The worst part of this is that when I have discussed this   I've had lots of 'oh this has never happened before ' with an inference that its's somehow my fault.(I've used the same chemicals for years)

In the end I replaced all the pipe with Woodbridge's which so far so good!

Cheers,

Doug

Doug,

Just had a similar HP hose burst on me today, this is the second time in 3 weeks!

I had the same reply as you did.

Never had any problem with solution pipes bursting inside the machine, but they do go at the crimped ends after a while and the short connection hose on the wand  has a certain lifespan.
