Would love to know what system you guys use and would recomend with all the new ones on the market.

Need to be large systems and be able to have two poles going at once.

I really recommend Window Cleaning Warehouse
http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/shop/index.php

These guys have been in the wfp industry as long as Ionics and build streamline systems and also do this brilliant skid tank system with a TRUE baffled 800ltr tank. You really should give them a ring, they will be able to beat anybody elses prices. Secondly I would go for a Pure Freedom/Gardiner pole. DO NOT be tricked by all the fancy looking stuff and promises on huge time savings. Just remember how simple the system needs to be: tank, pump, varistream, hose, pole, brush, window!!! So dont get over priced stuff with fancy catalogues, Luke

Hi Charlie.

I have 2 van systems. One is the 1st I bought from Ionics which I am very happy with and the other is from Purefreedom which cost me a lot less but is every bit as good as my 1st one. I really like the little finishing touches that Purefreedom do. They are engineers and make little extras on the spot that make life a lot easier for users. A few mates have systems from them as well and they are all more than happy.

The man to speak to at Purefreedom is Andrew McCann. He wont give you any BS and wont try to oversell you stuff. I can't fault either companies after sales service but for sheer value for money I would go to Purefreedom for a quote. Their telephone number is 01472 347519.

Oii Mr McCann.. if u read this u owe Dave in Donny a beer mate!!!  :)

B+ody hell.. I just realised that u are THE J.V. Price.

Much respect to you and your company Charlie!!!

Watch out though...  I aim to be where you are soon..errrrr or in maybe 20 yrs  lol  :)

TBH Charlie I suppose u will get a lot of info on this thread which has to be very subjective.  I.E. those that have systems from different suppliers and are happy with them such as myself.

There is a lot of choice out there now which can only be a good thing.  Happy shopping Charlie  :)

That's what I thought you're asking us?

As with all things the simpler the better. If your lads fill up at home they need more bits.

I've often thought about being on the transatlantic flight sat by chance next to Richard Branson for nine hours so I can tell him all my business ideas. As that seems unlikely you'll have to do.

What i think is this, the system makers promote themselve and not us. I saw someone with the top system and he had their brochure- it was all about them- his name was very small. Look at the best known logo what does it say to you?

This is my idea.(on side of van)
J V Price Window cleaners
Purified Hot Water Delivery Cleaning System

This promotes you, not someone else. And funnily enough my signage is being changed to say just that (apart from the jv price bit obviously)

And... do you want the best system or the best system for your business?Or do you mean a top system at a very low price.
The best system is the concept o2. It is an on demand heated system, it runs on LPG so it's running cost's are much lower than diesel(typically £7pw). I'm sure I'm teaching my granny to suck eggs to tell you the benefits of a heated system;
lower viscosity- water runs off the glass better.
better cleaning because of improved solubility and the fast breakdown of hard stains and soil.
Customers and general common sence perception that it does a better job
Faster drying times because the glass is heated and although the water drops in temperature fast this effect carries on long enough to make a difference.
Better operator experience- particularly in winter (staff will call in sick less often)

Because you are high profile you might get a better deal than the rest of us.

Sounds like your a man with a plan,

tip for you, would never promote the suppliers we use or the methods to much as on one of our site the customer made us go into how we carried out the work in detail, then went out and purchased their own WFP system and got the maintenance man to do the windows.

Good point,i`ve thought about that aswell, let them think it`s expensive and technical. If you broke it down it would be cheaper for some jobs that i do for them to buy a system of some sort and get the caretaker to do em.

When you get in to larger commercial work working for out sorce companies and FM companies the have moblie engineers and support staff and if they had these people doing the work they would make more profit.

Also so many companies setting up with WFP, I had to subcontract out some work due to work load and called in on the guys to make sure all was ok, asked why the haden't done the insides and they replied can't use WFP inside, they couldn't even clean windows traditional.

Wont be using them again Ha Ha
