CFR hand tool
« on: November 05, 2007, 07:15:47 pm »
The internal hose on my cfr tool has spilt right next to the release valve  in the handle. I took it to my local hydrolics company who dont do fittings that small. I have looked i the dual pumps manual but cant find anything that will work.
Any ideas and does anybody know the hose size, thinkk its 7mm dia.

Chris
Amtech dont do this. It is normally sent to a hydrolics company who crimp the end onto the hose.It neds to be done with a spcial machin because of the high psi and  heat.I have a local company who fix my solution hose when the go, but they dont do any crimpimg ends this small.

If any one knows a company that sells just the metal crimp end ( I have circled it in blue) then my local company can crimp it to the solution hose.

As an alternative you could take off the male end and take away all of the pipe and put a whole new one in probably on 1 piece or Amtech could supply you with all of the lot.

I used to regularly need to replace the hose on my CFR tools. About 2 years ago Pirtek replaced the hose with a steel braided one and I have had no problems since. It is well worth the price they charge.
