I have never been at the brush end and watched someone else lifting it up before ( mirror not big enough and always had to stand at the base to lift) but it was a very very big eye opener. :

Luke picked his up from the blunt end and the whole base sections appeared to bend dramatically. Oh my god

Now I always thought that these poles where stiff. So the S2 bent, now I have always been told that the sections are designed to do that so it shouldnt have come as such a shock. But as I said, never seen it before :

So I registered it but said nothing. A bit later Luke got hold of the Ultra and blow me the same thing happened, the Ultra bent as well. WOW Big effect, learn something everyday.
Poles to look at are same design, S2 has sections approx 1.5" longer. Top section is slightly smaller dia as it fits loosely in the Ultra st G neck.
Luke kept asking which I thought was the best, and I will tell you the same as I told him, there aint much diff and I would need to work with each. Even then maybe difficult. The diff between the 3 poles is about lets say 8oz and working at height it wouldnt make that much difference. It wasnt a competittion or anything and we couldnt put them against a high building, so it was just waggle them about in the air sort of thing and put them on crates to bounce test them. Then it started to go dark and we couldnt see what we where doing or whose bits where getting put in whose van.
Brightnclean Lukes just starting watch out when he gets into top gear.
