Xmas work
« on: October 30, 2007, 09:02:10 pm »
My older clients have been booking work in for November and December for the last 4 weeks but the phone melted on my Yesterday and again today all because the word Christmas was mentioned, are you all the same or is it me bragging? actually it was the same last year and the year before but just wondered if anyone else has had the phone ringing off the hook?

I had 1 lady who couldn't make her mind up what day, what time my fault really because I gave her 'options', I should have told her take it or leave it, she called me 4 times every time she called I kept telling her that 1 of the appointments had gone, she's got to cancel I can see it!

Christmas has not come early where I am. In fact the calls I've been getting are so bad I thought they were wind ups.

Women said her friend had her whole house done for £55 and how much to do just her lounge? Asked the obvious question and she said she was ringing round for cheaper. ::)

Just having some leaflets done, should I put snowmen on them?

You need a call to action? "book now for Xmas I'm filling my diary fast!"

Don't get anyone to clean your carpets, get a competetant professional who won't leave you paddling around with wet through carpets in the Xmas period!

you know the stuff

Get some xmas clipart done for your flyers.

I have a jolly Santa with one of those little talk bubbles giving the areas I cover. :)

BTW to all those thinking it's kinda dead. Keep the faith guys...wait until 1st Nov!! Then the poo will hit the fan

Reminders went out very early October and the rest are recommends from reminders, as I've kept saying all year YP is a non entity this year.

I have brobably about 20% left for November and 50%ish left for Decemeber, now I can afford to be picky of what now comes in, this is based on 6 day week.

I leave my reminders until after bonfire night, but my dining room table is covered in thousands of envelopes ready to break the poor posties back. Wish me luck!

Cheers

Just had a right result, My Neighbours two children will do my letters for me as long as i get the printing done. £10 each per 500, labled stamps and envelope.

Takes a weight of my mind as I was wondering when i could get them out this month.

Not so worried about Xmas as such but its good to get people booked up for January.
