hard water deposits on basins

what is the best product remove hard water deposits that are a bit green tinged that are on an enamal sink?

Im having trouble removing it, the basins are quite elderly, as they are in an old office block.

Hi

Spirit of salts.

It's an acid, 32% Hydrochloric acid. Wear gloves & mask, ventilate the room if possible. It will fume, leave for a few mins, then scrub off with a green scourer.

Picked this up from another cleaning forum - toilet descaler. Apply it and worrk quickly, wear rubber gloves and agitate the liquid using the green side of a sponge scourer. Had this exact situation you have only a week ago.....basin came out like new.

Might also be labelled as 'toilet limescale remover'. Either Harpic or own brand will do.  I agree - works great, but keep it off the taps :)
