200 WINDOWS - HOW MUCH WOULD YOU CHARGE?
« on: October 21, 2007, 04:52:49 pm »
I am quoting a huge property ( around 40 windows at 45ft ) with 200 outside windows and about 41 to clean inside. Most windows are made up of 2 panes or more. I cant post a picture unfortunately. How much should I charge? ( ball part figure ) and how long will it take 2 men do you think? ( access is good and the building is quite compact because its high ), Luke

Its difficute to price without pictures, but I would charge between £150.00 and £200.00.

It should take no more than 2 hours, but this depends on what state they are in.

The windows are in a good state, but the windows are large, the largest face of the building is on the road ( with pavement ) so for the top 3 stories somebody will need to assist the poler. The front face has 55 windows that will need doing from the pavement. The lower ones can be done on the properties grounds.  Luke

oh and I have never worked such a big property!

If you are working at 45' and from the pavement, you need to be careful of passing traffic.

To reach that height you might need to cone off some of the road so you can use it to get the angle you will need.

I've already tested with my super-lite 2, I can work fine from the pavement without needing to cone any of the road off. Luke

Is the passing traffic (meaning people) if there is you would need to cone if off to stop them walking into you or they will be getting under your feet and also wet

I cant cone off the pavement as it will force them onto the road causing death or injury!!!!! they wont get wet, I am standing 20ft away from the building, Luke
