Broken Ankle Poor Me
« on: October 21, 2007, 09:10:00 am »
I was playing rugby yesterday and i tackled someone and  i heard the horrible, CRACK but after a few  mins of yelping the pain went and i could sort of walk so i was hoping it was just a twist or tear of tissue of something

anyways went to the hospital  and you guessed it its borken, got to be in a cast for 6 weeks, its going to make work so much harder, im glad alot of my work is pole, otherwise id be in trouble

And to top it all of im going away on monday

I'm sure he'd be better than them anyway. ;D

But you've got to expect broken bones playing rugby.
It's not a sport, it's a fight.

Take up a less dangerous, more skillful game. ;)

Sorry to hear that Alex.  Thought I saw you on telly yesterday evening.  Were you one of the guys who was substituted?
As you say it's a good job you have a pole system as ladder climbing would be a no-no.  Are you sure about hopping around with a pole?  Could that much activity cause your ankle to set wrongly or does the cast prevent that? (How can you tell that I've never broken any bones - yet?)
I do realise you know a lot of people who can help you out workwise if you need it.  However, if you get stuck, I do still have bits of spare time in my schedule.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

The human body is a marvelluos thing but when it lets us down it can be a real pain. I Know, I lost 6 months in 2000 due to a severe ankle break followed by another 15 months waiting for and recovering from followup surgery in 2006-7. I had two very good friends look after my work for me and others waiting in the sidelines to help if there was a need. If it weren't for them I wouldn't have much of a round left.

Don't over do it Bro' if you're going to attempt to work on it.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Alex.

I don't blame you.  I've sometimes got on peoples cases over it.  Probably better to keep W/C forums to W/Cing.
