« on: October 18, 2007, 01:26:24 pm »
After several really busy months it has suddenly become dead here in the north east. How is everyone else doing?

14 booked today?
How much advertising do you do. I find that new customers want the work carrying out within a few days where as regulars are willing to wait.
Anyway well done mate ;)

a very small add in two papers  it costs me 60 pounds a week for both apart from that just the writeing on two vans as the other two are plain white

im that busey i may have too go out cleaning myself  :'( :'( well cutted ive only done 14 jobs this year myself  ;D just to get used to the t.m.  but im going away for six weeks again in jan so a few extra pennys wont come a miss i guess  :P

people wont wait apart from the regs but i try my up most to get them in when they want but to be truthful im getting to the point now if we cant get them in when they want they can find someone else its that simple ive got to much on with my rented houses to worrie about price shopers anymore

I'm not quiet still very busy 6 jobs today,5 tomorrow,3 Saturday and 1 on Sunday even missing going to West Ham because of the one on Sunday.Even subbing work out.

I've increased my charges to £43 minimum now.Few price shoppers but you don't want them.

dont take me thre wrong way im not trying to be a big time harry , but befoure we had a little help from a few on this site and the lads of the tmcca i was ready to pack it in ,

and when the custys are telling me we were too cheap as there booking in under the new prices (we have lost 11regs in total so far) i now can see cheap didnt do us any good at all , as they thought they were getting a bad job done , and work as picked up alot now the prices have gone up  ???

1st, If you dont mind me asking what do your adverts contain in the local paper.

I use local paper a lot and did get a large amount of work from it but it has dried up a bit at the moment.
