Chemical usage update
« on: October 16, 2007, 07:53:51 pm »
This year there has been lots of change with chemicals. Some new ones such as Nemisis and M Power, powdered microsplitters etc.
So now we are near the end of the year I was wondering what every body was no using as their main form of attack.
For me the last couple of years was mainly m/s and a/s, but this year have moved back to conventional chems and m/s only play a small part of my chemical choice but enzymes have increased also I have moved more toward Chempecs chemicals.

I've been filling my T/M tank with Craftex fibre safe  (ph 7.5) if the carpets not too bad I fix a lance onto the solution line then pre-spray they carpet with that, if it's real bad I hook up the hydra-force containing Chemspec enzyme.

for upholstery I use M/S every time, and rince with the fibre safe.

90-95% of the time it's MS or Nemesis for upholstery occassionally it's Fabric Restorer, on carpets I'm afraid it's what I think will do the job so I have no fixed product. In the tank mainly formula 90 liquid diluted at approx 2000:1, 990:1 is recommended for wool but it foams up too much and I'm from Yorkshire.

Always Fibre and fabric rinse in tank and trafficlean used on 80% of jobs as prespray.

Occasionally use different presprays, craftex powdered enzyme, blitz, powerburst, champion depends on the job.

Quite a few people have mentioned Champion this week. I used to use it years ago with good results but it is very powerful.

Can also be diluted to use as a degreaser for mopping floors and cleaning the car. It smells just like the detergent they use in the pre-spray at jet wash garages and used to come in 25lt barrels that lasted forever.

Is Bob still around down there?
