Poaching work
« on: November 01, 2004, 02:23:12 pm »
I recieved a cheque today from a very well known building contractor who we now do all the work for, i phoned the QS who authorised the cheque telling him that the invoice did not relate to one of our bills, he told me that it was for a carpet clean that we did on plot no2 of the estate that we had the contract to do all the builders cleans for, i told him that we had not done any carpet cleans on that particular site, when he dug through the file he noticed that another firm had gone in and done a clean using our name, unlucky for them we have been paid for the job that we should have got.

I see from previous posts it is not the first time that this has happened in my area.

This is nothing more than fraud and trading under false pretences.

I imagine that their are crooks out their that use this website and others to gather valueable information on companys and then attempt to rip them off.

BE WARNED

The firm involved have used our name with a very slight change to it, the site manager thought he was dealing with our firm and that is why, when the other firm sent their invoice to the building contractor, the QS automatically allocated it to our account, the company in question has travelled over 40 miles to clean a single show room carpet approx 12x12 and only charged £40.00 for the privalage. It is their hard luck that i recieved the cheque for the job today.

You say had travelled over 40 miles to do this job, therefore you must know who it is if you can say they travelled this distance!!

Therefore why don't you and the other company in your area go round and kick Six Bells of the proverbial out of them??
I get better looking each day!!

Dave,
You say 40 miles, maybe a coincidence, but they dont happen to be based in Newton Le Willows do they?

Any churches along the way are fair game.
kind of like a fringe benifite for the long trip.
