Noticed NCCA has been quiet recently, also noted that a few of its Directors have left during this year.
Has something happened?

Hi

They have just cancel the AGM, presumable through lack of interest.

it's the wrong time of year for an AGM in our business IMO too many dodgy Mancs trying to rough up the coffin dodgers and do them out of their carpet cleaners pensions, hey Dave?

Take your pick

"Were only pensioners"

"Its only a very small room"

"Its not really dirty"

"It wont take you long"

"Is there an OAP discount"

"I can't smell wee"

Hi Paul

Which Directors have left during the last year?

At the Board meeting a few weeks ago there were the same number as at the AGM last year, except for Derek Bolton who has only gone into semi-retirement, plus we had a new candidate who may well join the Board in the near future.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

It's because of lack of interest. It's hard to butter an AGM up when folk are busy or there's not alot happening.

For all of the directors hard work they are still running their own businesses but from an outsider looking in the NCCA does look as though it is slipping back to old ways on the 'moving forward' front.

Which Robert is that Paul?

The only one I can think of is Robert Olifent, and that was during the last century.

As for average age, I honestly don't know. And I don't think that the female Director would tell us her age ;)

Does this age thing mean we'll have to rename our CEO "Ming the Mercyless?"

Safe and happy cleaning :)

I'am a member of the NCCA and one of the guilty people that have'nt shown the kind of support that that board deserves and needs to drive them on. Don't knock them, they have given more free advise, either directly or indirectly by passing on good info to 3rd parties. Cock up of 3 piece suites, stain removal, spotting advise to say a few. My view is any person that wants to clean furnishings as a living should join and improve this trade association.
