Hi,
do you really just plug your pump box in to the ciggy lighter?Just asking cause I want to set up van mount, but as cheap as poss.Obviously if this does work it saves me having to buy battery and charger,cheers

I would like to know the answer to this as well.
Reason being my road is being dug up (collapsed sewer) as of Monday for 3 weeks forcing me to have to park maybe 3 or 4 streets away. I dont want to be walking home each night with a leisure battery to charge ,I shall keep it in the van charged up for emergencies but am going to buy a lighter plug and some wire today and see if it can get me out the $hit for a couple of weeks. Before anyone says split charge relay I dont want to be going to the bother of this just now as I'll be getting a new van in the new year.

I speak to a guy every day, that has his system wired straight to his main battery and he has been doing the same for years, at lunch time sit there with engine ticking over.  the only downside to using main battery or from a cig lighter, that if your battery goes flat you will not be moving the van either, as long as you keep an eye on it and do the lunch time bit that will get you through

Yes guys & have done so for nearly 4 years. I do however drive between jobs a lot so this helps to keep it topped up. i had to replace the original renault battery in january this year (6 years old) & i just replaced it with a dirt cheap partco one for 35 quid, think it's only 55ah & it's not once let me down yet. my pump is 75psi.

If i'm at a full day job, constantly using wfp i might run the engine mid-day just to be on safe side.
