I had and sold the Ionics E1 too heavy its a two man pole, the E2 is the same weight but with more carbon to make it stiffer and the sections cannot pull out as they are flared at the base. I think they may have improved the locking clamps since the show or soon.  After using the original Ott then any poles got to be lighter  :)

I have the 60ft C Extel carbon pole. If u can love a pole at 60ft I do  ;D The section lengths are great and the clamps are excellent. It's telescopic so its easy to extend and retract. I've used the old Ionics OTT  OUCH!!!  lol  :D I paid £699 + VAT for it including gooseneck and brush.

If I had to choose between just the two poles you mentioned, I would go for the Facelift as historically it has proved stronger.  Also, in my opinion, it's a more adaptable pole.  But do remember that both poles are considerably shorter than their stated length as this length is just a reach not an actual measurement.

Another pole to choose from, as has just been mentioned, is the 60 ft (actual length) Carbon Fibre X-Tel Pole, great clamps and shorter sections than either of the poles mentioned above.

At this height though, I would never go for telescopic as it just has too many disadvantages to the user.

I'm just speaking from my own user perspective rather than a retailer perspective. We actually make a larger profit margin when we sell 60 ft X-Tels (and indeed all of our X-Tel range) than when we sell our modular poles!
